Meet Lucy!

Lucy and her 5 siblings were 2 weeks old when they and their mother were abandoned in Idaho City. Northwest Animal Companions NAC' rescued them. Our wonderful friend Lory took time out of her busy life working at the Cat Dr. to foster all of them until they could be adopted.

We're also grateful for all the help from Lory's roommates, D.J. and Kellen. Lory adopted the mother, Star. Macy the runt of the litter was adopted by Kellen. Lory knew we were thinking about getting a yellow lab pup and this seemed like the perfect fit. Lucy is a lab mix. We don't know mixed with what.

We started visiting the puppies when they were 3 weeks old. We just couldn't stay away and went to see them several times a week. It wasn't long before we fell in love with Lucy. The rest of the puppies got adopted. Lucy is a wonderful part of our life. She goes everywhere with us. Our cats and Lucy have become friends and live in harmony. Check back for more photos of Lucy as she grows up.

Lucy, 3 weeks old.

Chewing on her first toy.

Sweetest teeny-tiny.

Love the little baby wrinkles.

Butterballs just drop wherever they get tired after play. Lucy is the whiter one. Four weeks old, rooting in the dirt. This was just the best age to pick her up and hug her. Eight weeks old. Checking out her new kennel and dog house at Boise Cycle.
Wanting to be with Carl while he works on bikes. She's tied to his tool cart. Happy to be with Daddy. Just being cute. Crate trained. Starting to lose her baby fuzz.
Awkward legs. Running with the tennis ball. This is a BIG car carrier for a little puppy. Love playing Frisbee.
Bringing the Frisbee to Daddy. Carl taking a break from wrenching to play Frisbee. Gimme that Frisbee. Worn out after Frisbee.

Mama trying to make the puppy sit still for a minute.

Inherited one of the cat's beds. Not in the kennel, but with Daddy while he's working. At this age, her nickname was "TROUBLE". Resting after a long walk after work.
